A wool lover since a small child, I enjoyed latch hook rug making and knitting, as well as fine woolen sweaters and scarves. I remember going to farms where they sheered the sheep and you could shop for their yarn and crafts. Inspired in North India by the felted wool Namdas that the village people sat upon in their homes, and as a Yogini and floor sitter, I was drawn to this insulating and cozy experience of felted wool mats.
In Mount Shasta, CA. in 2004, I was introduced to the wet felting process and the needle felting tools that I use today. I am blessed to live near a wool carding mill, as well as those talented in dying and creating with wool.
